Beethoven's upcoming 250th birthday in 2020 is an unprecedented opportunity to inspire a whole new generation of music lovers. It is our goal to produce multimedia projects to create a link between live events and the digital world, helping to spread Beethoven's inspiring story, and the context into which he appears in the history of music, to people everywhere.
Our first Beethoven@250 project has already been produced and will be released publicly in October 2019, the Bach48 Album, on Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier, a recording, film, and interactive website (www.bach48.com); Bach is an essential part of Beethoven's own story and helps provide context to Beethoven's place in the musical world. It is IBP's goal to have as many of these types of projects out and available to the public in the two year period that started December 16th, 2018 and culminates on Beethoven's birth date of December 16th in 2020, his official 250th.
In addition to these media projects, IBP is in the early planning stages of developing very special music, theater, and dance shows and festivals that will tour the world throughout 2020 to educate and inspire the first adult generation of the 21st century and others, so that they can carry on the legacy of Beethoven's humanity and artistry to the next century.
Growing a special Beethoven@250 Campaign Fund allows IBP to carry on and help bring Beethoven to the next generations. In order to succeed in these projects, fundraising starts now. It is our goal to reach one million dollars over the course of this campaign so that we can leave a lasting mark on this generation's love of music and inspire the next one.
