Hurricane Laura was a deadly
and damaging Category 4 Atlantic hurricane that tied the 1856 Last Island
hurricane as the strongest hurricane on record to make landfall in the U.S.
state of Louisiana, as measured by maximum sustained winds.
At least 20 million
people were in Hurricane Laura’s path, and more than half a million were
ordered to evacuate as the storm approached.
The Category 4 hurricane
with maximum winds of 150 mph caused storm surges that could reach 30 miles
inland in southwest Louisiana and Southeast Texas and be “unsurvivable” in some

Hands In Service is
currently working with a reputable disaster relief organization who currently
has 6 distribution centers already in place across the Laura impact zone. Our
first shipment includes 7 pallets of diapers, wipes, water and camping gear which
leaves our warehouse in a few days. The list of items in demand currently
