The Down Syndrome Association of Pittsburgh (DSAP) has partnered with Advance Behavior & Learning to provide a virtual Speaker Series: Benefits of Being Busy: Staying Busy for Tweens, Teens, and Adults. Join us on 3/29 at 7pm. Tweens, teens, and adults have behavioral needs that are often distinctly different from younger children. Prevention, education, and functional, logical consequences should all come together to ensure an effective plan. This session will review these essential components and provide some new thoughts on how to improve engagement in this older group where options may feel more limited. Staying busy is important, but the key is finding how to best help teach this life skill and promote independence. This session will help with some new ideas and inspiration.
