Join in the fun! Explore simple hand building techniques and interesting texture stamps and natural materials to develop pattern and texture on unique pottery. Experiment with various glazing techniques, including outdoor Raku firing. The pots will be burnished using terra sigillata and fired outdoors using horsehair or feathers to affect the surface of the hot pot in a post firing experiment. Strands of horsehair or feathers laid across hot ware leave a wandering linear smoke design or beautiful feather impression on the surface.
