$100 (Early bird rate 10% off if registered by September 12, 2019)

Come to a fully equipped ceramic studio on historic Seneca Street in Webster City to learn the process of creating beautiful ceramic tiles inlaid with glass! You will spend the first day carving a design of your own choosing or using one of our patterns to transfer to the clay. Your work will be dried and fired and ready for you to begin experimenting with beautiful glass inlays the next week and you will pick up finished work the last day.

During her years of moving with theatre from NYC to CA and jobs, Catherine was able to take workshops in every medium available in the area at the time. The range of classes allowed her to try everything from stained glass work to chip carving, fiber arts, watercolor to oil, folk art, and of course pottery.

“With my discovery of tile making I was able to create an all-inclusive surface to allow me to put to use all of the past disciplines...and so Lakota Tile Studio was created.”

Catherine made one last move to be with her mother in Lakota Iowa in 1997. After years of doing nationwide art shows she now needed to stay put to care for her mother in the last years. Catherine continues to work in her Iowa studio to design and make tiles for homes and offices as well as art tiles.
