Ride with a Park Ranger!
Saturday, November 23 • 1:00 p.m.
The San Antonio Mission Park Rangers are celebrating Native American
Heritage Month by exploring the native plants of Texas on a 6 mile 2 and
1/2 hour ranger-led bike ride. Find native plants like desert willow,
agave, sotol, and many more at the national park. Learn about native plant uses, medicinal and otherwise, to honor the knowledge of the indigenous peoples of this area.
Meet the Park Ranger at Mission
San Juan at 1 pm. Our route begins at Mission San Juan, stops at prairie restoration sites along the river, then ends back at Mission San Juan.
The bike ride will run from 1 pm - 3:30 pm. We will bike along the
Mission Reach Hike & Bike Trail on paved and gravel surfaces.
Helmets are required. This is a free public program. Bring your own bicycle and helmet to participate for free. Don't have a bicycle? No problem! Reserve a San Antonio Bike Share bike for $10 by November 22. With your San Antonio Bike Share rental not only will you be a part of an exciting informational ride, you will receive a monthly San Antonio Bike
Share pass as a thank you from SABS..
