Foster the Love Room Sponsorship

Creating this space will allow us to bring all four storage units in-house. It will take a lot of organization, shelving, totes, and strategic planning, but creating this area will allow us not to leave the building whenever someone needs a large item, like beds and dressers.

Foster the Love cannot function without its staff and volunteers. Office spaces are essential for them to have room to organize activities, plan fundraisers and keep up with everyday operations. We want to provide them a place to be productive and have everything they need to be efficient.

Our community has been so generous in its donations. Each bag of clothes donated is gone through and sorted. They are then either hung for the closet or folded and stored for the next season. This takes a lot of time, space, and volunteers. A dedicated room keeps everything organized and the rest of the building free from the clutter of donations lining the halls.

 First Nights Bags are a huge part of us, helping kids in foster care and those in need throughout the community. They provide resources for children entering foster care and keep foster parents from rushing out to shop for a placement at the last minute. Keeping things organized is vital to quickly getting these bags and supplies out to the families needing them. 

DCFS is overwhelmed with calls and insufficient homes to place children in, causing them to spend the night with the worker in an office. This bedroom will give children a place to rest, away from an office, while their worker makes calls to find a permanent placement.

The conference room is our multipurpose area. It will be used for foster parent training, board meetings, or movie night for the kids. We hope this room provides growth through training, support through foster parent groups, and organismic connections through conversations while utilizing this room.
