About This Registration

Shelter from the Storm is a Christian-based curriculum for survivors of childhood sexual abuse. Participants will have a workbook and homework to do during the week. If you have not had individual therapy or have not been in a group before, then this is a great place to start. This course represents an opportunity to understand the cause of your pain, to learn to grieve and take responsibility for your healing, emotions, and behavior. It is a closed group, so once it starts, no new participant will be added. From the Storm: Hope for Survivors of Sexual Abuse

Who:             Adult Female Survivors (18+) of Childhood Sexual Abuse
Dates:           February 5, 2019 to April 23, 2019
Time:            7:00 PM to 8:30 PM
Limit:            8 participants
Location:       Capitol Hill area, Washington, DC 20003
Fee:              $600.00 (plus $15 workbook)


Objectives:

  • Identify harmful patterns that keep you from making Christ-honoring and life-enhancing changes
  • Experience God’s love, forgiveness, and power in all of life’s circumstances
  • Understand the storm of sexual abuse
  • Move from victim, survivor, to thriver
  • Clear sense of identity and healthy relationship to the Lordship of Christ
