Day of Action Check-in Information May 24, 2016

Thank you Day of Action VOLUNTEERS!!

We look forward to seeing you tomorrow at our 3rd annual Day of Action!

Registration and volunteer check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Children’s Discovery Museum. At check-in, volunteers will complete volunteer waiver and receive their volunteer assignment for the day, as well as t-shirts. Following check-in volunteers will report to project sites and check-in with their project coordinator, who will give instructions.

>9:00 am - Morning Session: (volunteers report to project coordinators)
>11:30 am-Lunch provided by Jimmy John’s at Children’s Discovery Museum
>12:30 pm - Afternoon Session: (volunteers report to project coordinators)

Parking is available in the Museum parking lot, Cub Foods and Target. If parking in the Cub or Target lots, please use the pedestrian walkways.

Please bring close toe shoes and/or boots, protective gloves, long pants and shirts. Also pack protective eye wear, sunscreen and bug repellent. Optional items include: painting supplies (brushes, overalls, painters hat) and garden tools (shovels, rakes, hand spade, hoes).

Personal Care Items: (full size) shampoo; deodorant; bar soap; toothbrush and toothpaste; lotion; hair comb/brush; sun screen; lip balm; adhesive bandages; antibiotic ointment; warm socks; tampons; panty liners; laundry detergent; diapers; (new) wash cloths, hand and bath towels; and prepaid gas cards.
