Sophie shares her feelings with a shy boy. As children affected by autism often have difficulty understanding and showing emotions, by engaging young children on the autism spectrum, the book encourages children to connect with people and animals. Research currently being done with early intervention strategies for autism are finding significant improvement for these young children.
