Join us on the Monongahela River. We will be partnering with Frieneds of the Riverfront, Nine Mile Run, and the Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania!
We are adhering to CDC guidelines and implementing social distancing and all volunteers are required to wear a mask when volunteering with Allegheny CleanWays.
Volunteers will be working from the land and water via our boat, the Rachel Carson, to remove trash that has accumulated along the riverfront. Volunteers will also be working to do maintenance along the trail.
All volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes or boots and long pants. We also recommend a long-sleeved shirt to avoid being scratched or coming in contact with poison ivy.
As always, we will provide work gloves, safety glasses, and all other necessary tools and materials. We will also be providing lunch after the cleanup. Please be sure to bring your reusable water bottle!
