About Dr. Henry E Holloway, Jr. Memorial Golf Tournament

The Dr. Henry E. Holloway, Jr. Memorial Golf Tournament was first held in September 2010. The The inaugural tournament was played at Mystery Valley Golf Course in Stone Mountain, Georgia. The tournament is name in honor of Dr. Henry E. Holloway, Jr., an emergency room physician who died in April 2010. Dr. Holloway was an active member of Project Uplift and worked tirelessly with students throughout DeKalb County. In honor of his contributions, the foundation started this event so that his work with students can be carried on through the years. Since the tournament’s inception in 2010, Project Uplift has raised over $375,000 to contribute to young students in DeKalb and Rockdale Counties. In support of Dr. Holloway’s vision, Project Uplift presents its premier scholarship award to a male student committed to attending medical school and advancing to becoming a physician. This effort exemplifies Project Uplift’s goal of community support and empowerment.

Our annual tournament will be held on Friday, September 20th, 2024, at Sugar Creek Golf Course. You can register up until 9am on the day of the tournament. The tournament shotgun starts at 10am.
