THANKS TO ALL WHO PARTICIPATED! WE'RE LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT YEAR.
About The Event
The Nashville Push Up Challenge is a unique push up competition that is competitive, fun and engaging. Participants have an opportunity to achieve success, improve their fitness level and have fun. Your participation will help raise awareness and vital funds necessary for Communities In Schools of Tennessee, a dropout prevention organization committed to helping students stay in school and graduate. In order to continue bringing the tools and resources our local students need to stay in school and achieve in life, we need you.
How The Push Up Challenge Works
Two Competitions - Adult Open (30 minutes) and School (20 minutes)
Teams of 6 people compete to complete as many push-ups as possible
Teams raise money for push ups (i.e. $1 for every push up)
Exciting prizes awarded to the team who completes the most push ups in each competition!
Proven strategy for optimal success

Why It Matters
In Nashville, more than 72% of students live in poverty, making them at an even greater risk of dropping out. We work to eliminate the barriers these students face by positioning a dedicated staff member, known as a site coordinator, inside our partner schools to identify students at-risk of poor academic success and/or dropping out. Whether we’re providing food, school supplies, counseling, academic assistance or a positive role model, our students are always our top priority. In order to continue making an impact for many of our city’s most vulnerable kids, we need your help. Register today to join us in the Nashville Push Up Challenge and help us raise funds to keep more kids in school.
Other Ways to Get Involved
You can sign up to become a fundraiser for CISTN and help us raise funds to support our cause! When you sign up as a fundraiser, you will create a personal fundraising page on CISTN’s behalf where you can share your personal story and reason for supporting our work. Share it with your friends, family and community via social media or email to raise money. Push up Challenge participants can ask friends to donate $1 for every push up they expect to do (i.e. My goal is to complete 200 push-ups, will you support my goal with a one dollar donation per push up?). Friends can also make one-time donations to support the event as well. Exciting PRIZES will be awarded to the registered team that raises the most money overall and the individual event participant who raises the most money. Need help getting started? Email firstname.lastname@example.org for help.
