Dogwood Brunch Set for Sunday, May 1
Arts Quincy invites you to its third brunch fundraiser! The Dogwood Arts Brunch is Sunday, May 1 from 11 am-1 pm at Quincy Country Club.
During the Dogwood Brunch, you will be treated to delicious brunch bites and watch live as cake decorators compete for prestigious awards. Guests will be entered into a raffle to win the elegant floral bouquets and arrangements, just in time for Mother's Day! Gift certificates to each bakery will be up for bids in the silent auction. In addition, you'll enjoy live painting by Jaycie Womack Spake, kids can make May Day Pinwheel to take home (sponsored by Brumbaugh Tree Service), and much more!
“It is a very fun event and proceeds support our mission to
increase access and connect people to Quincy's vibrant fine arts and culture
community,” Sievert explained. This year’s Brunch will specifically help create
the funds to sponsor the new After School Art Pilot Program at Quincy
“We’re piloting a new free after-school art program at all
five public schools plus Blessed Sacrament Catholic School and St. Dominic
Catholic School, and we’d like to expand that footprint even further next year.
Events like this keep the program series free for all students and create so
Sievert says that the demand for this kind of program is
extraordinarily high, “We had 81 kids sign up for just 20 spots in the program
at Baldwin Elementary School this year, for example. The need and interest from
parents and students are astounding, and with community support, Arts Quincy
will work to meet that need.”
Tickets are $45. Get tickets online here. Kids 12 and under are admitted free. For more information, call 217-222-3432 or email [email protected] All proceeds benefit Arts Quincy programming.
