“Celebration of Hope is an inspiring and fun-filled evening to honor its volunteer advocates and raise awareness and funds to sustain advocacy for abused and neglected children in our community,” said Sandra Bankston, Court Advocates for Children Executive Director.
You can expect this year’s event to be an evening you don’t want to miss complete with live music, amazing auction items, and the opportunity to connect with members, stakeholders, and volunteers that share your same passion of ensuring every child in our community has a safe, permanent home, and the opportunity to thrive. On behalf of Court Advocates for Children, I am requesting support for the 35th annual Celebration of Hope to raise awareness and funds for the CASA program. This year’s event will be held on Tuesday, December 7th at Gard Vintners in Ellensburg, Washington.
The CASA program provides trained community volunteers to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children. Our vision is a community that is aware of and committed to the efforts of Court Advocates to secure safe, permanent, and loving homes for abused and neglected children in Kittitas County.?
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we were unable to host the Celebration of Hope event last year (2020), significantly impacting the financial stability of the program. In the past, the event has been a tremendous success. Nearly 200 guests attended the event in 2019 that raised more than $60,000 to sustain CASA’s work on behalf of these vulnerable children. This accounts for 26% of our operating budget and allows us to extend our best interest advocacy work in Kittitas County. The money raised from this event goes directly to the following:
- Training new volunteer child advocates
- Continuing education for current volunteer advocates
- Recruitment, Outreach, and Awareness
I hope you will support Court Advocates for Children by choosing to be an event sponsor.
