About January Letter!
Dear Friend,
I generally “write” this
letter between the 15th and 20th of the preceding month.
This particular letter strikes me because this is the first time I have used
“2022”! Can you believe we are living in 2022? Much like 2020, 2021 has been a
year of great challenges and great blessings! The blessings are always greater
than the challenges, but the challenges seem to stand out more in my mind. I
guess that’s typical.
This past year has seen some
incredible spiritual growth in the men in our residential programs. 2021 has
also seen some great opportunities for us to show God’s love to those in our
community who are in need. From our “un-housed neighbors” to those are may be
in need due to COVID, we have seen an increase in those seeking help. We want
to help as many as possible and are trusting God for those resources!
We
would greatly appreciate your partnership in reaching out to the hungry,
hurting, and hopeless; and offering them opportunities to change their lives
for the better. It is only through your investment in the Union Gospel Mission
that we can continue “Meeting Needs, Making Change, and Magnifying Christ!”
Serving Christ and the Community,
Rev.
