This program will include the fundamentals – an introduction into Dance, with Ballet & Modern as the Core & Interpretive Dance as a much-needed addition. This allows the Child the freedom to explore their creative side & to find empowerment in self-expression. Interpretive Dance includes Tap, African, Hip-Hop & Improvisation – dressing up in Costumes that will inspire creative minds & interaction along with socialization & Peer support in a safe environment. This is the place for your Child to explore themselves & the World around them. Acting & Vocals are added to open our Children up -inside & out – to help them find their voice, become comfortable with self-expression & incorporating all three discipline techniques are recommended to build a full spectrum of the inner talents & needs of the Child to be successful. They have to be comfortable in their skin, proud to be a unique individual who can contribute to those around them & to be present, connected & confident in their own voice.
The H.E.ART recognizes the importance of developing our childrens’ potential at an early age, nurturing & guiding them as they build on their strengths along with recognizing & working on any weaknesses. It takes a Village & we bring our many years of experience to lift our Students up, giving them the confidence they require going forward, no matter what road they may eventually choose to take. This is a Beginners’ Group, for those who have had some experience in Dance, Acting or Voice & have been exposed to the basic technique in any of these three disciplines. The HE.ART will build on these basic foundations whilst expanding on the understanding & execution of these core principles. Dance will offer Ballet & Modern as a Core discipline with the introduction to Zena Rommett’s *tm Floor-Barre, which is added as a strengthening & body conditioning program. A technical block of training implemented with Interpretive Dance that allows the Student the freedom to explore their creative side & to find empowerment in self-expression. Interpretive Dance includes Tap, African, Hip-Hop & Improvisation & the use of Costumes to inspire creative minds, passion for the Theatre & improved interaction along with socialization are key ingredients for a well-rounded & confident individual.
The addition of Acting & Voice affords our Students the ability to find their voice, to become comfortable with self-expression & incorporating all three disciplines is recommended to build a full spectrum of the inner talents and the needs of the Student to be successful in any arena. They have to be comfortable in their skin, proud to be a unique individual who can contribute to those around them and to be present, connected & confident in their own voice.
