About Yin Yoga & Myofascial Release May 2022

Yin yoga may look like a relaxing and restorative practice, but it can be quite challenging physically and mentally. There are 3 main principles of yin yoga:

  1. Come into the pose to an appropriate depth
  2. Resolve to remain still
  3. Hold the pose for time

Yin yoga is inherently a practice of myofascial release. Still, in these classes, we will incorporate other myofascial release techniques, including the use of props and manual therapies to stimulate various trigger points in the body and facilitate complete restoration. 

Every class will also incorporate a focus on the energetic pathways of the body and mind, along with opportunities for meditation and relaxation.
