Ready!
Set! Go!
Community Mediation Center of St. Mary’s
County is Looking for Trouble again next March 25 at our 5K run-walk in Charlotte
Hall, and we invite you to be a big part of what makes this annual spring
kickoff event a grand success!
Sponsors and donations to Looking for
Trouble helps our volunteers continue providing mediation services at no cost to
people in St. Mary’s who are experiencing conflict in their lives. We are
resuming in-person mediations, and further enhancing that long-standing role of
giving people a setting to find their own solutions to a wide range of
disputes, ranging from landlord-tenant agreements to parenting plans. With your
support, our community outreach has expanded toward assisting youth in our
county and working with our many partners in providing workshops and
presentations, and at the new Health Hub in Lexington Park.
Donations allow us to fulfill a required
match of our annual grant from the Maryland Judiciary’s Mediation and Conflict
Resolution Office, the funding allows for training in specialty mediations,
printing materials to encourage conversations, meeting our operational costs, and
continuing our many services in alternative dispute resolution.
All Looking for Trouble participants on
the Three Notch Trail will head out from and return to St. Mary’s Northern
Senior Center, where your business or organization will be recognized for your
support, and new this year, can take an active part in engaging with everyone
at the event and highlighting your role in our community by hosting a sponsor
table, entering a team in the race and dancing in the dance-a-thon!
Please join our title sponsor, PNC Bank,
and other valued partners and friends in supporting this community event.
Sincerely,
Mia
Bowers,
Executive
