About 2023 Pine Tree Apple Tennis Classic
Pine Tree Apple Tennis Classic ... It Starts With You!
The Pine Tree Apple Classic Fund was formed in 2018 to ensure the long-term stability of the Pine Tree Apple Tennis Classic and targeted cancer research efforts at Children's Minnesota and around the world. During our 37-year history, we have raised over $7 million in support of these life-saving efforts as our mission is to be a positive force in the health and well-being of children with childhood diseases and their families, by providing funding, programming and other events and activities to further research around childhood diseases.
Our 2023 fundraising goal is $430,000. Your generous financial support helps provide vital information to cancer specialists around the world and supports research areas where there is little or no national attention including advancing DICER1 rare tumor research, preventing cancer treatment side effects and promoting quality of life.
In 2020, the PTACF and Children's Minnesota announced the establishment of the Pine Tree Apple Tennis Class Endowed Chair in Cancer and Blood Disorders Research and the appointment of Dr. Kris Ann Schultz as the inaugural holder of the position. This is only the third endowed chair named at Children's Minnesota and was made possible through generous support of our donors over the years.
Join us August 3-6, 2023, at Life Time White Bear in White Bear Lake, Minn., for the 2023 Pine Tree Apple Tennis Classic and see the best mixed doubles tennis players in the upper-Midwest compete for the championship, while enjoying a cold beverage and the best apple treats in the world courtesy of Pine Tree Apple Orchard.
