IMPORTANT: Please read this very important information thoroughly before completing the application!

aSTEAM Village is now accepting applications for the 2023 - 2024 EnVision Innovation Stadium Design, RedTails Digital Engineering Academy, FIRST Robotics, FIRST TECH Challenge, Future City, National STEM League Racing Challenge, Student Spaceflight Experiments Program, PowerUp: Cyber Security and Try-Math-a-Lon Season.

Program cost is $355 per child. There is a $50 discount for each additional child.

Registration fee is $50 and due upon receipt of the invoice after you submit this registration form.

$5 of the program cost is applied to their aSTEAM Village NSBE Jr. Membership.

Student participants must commit to regular attendance of practice sessions, agree to participate and compete in the 50th Annual NSBE Convention in Atlanta, GA March 25 - 29, 2024 and all other competitions.

This year's season will begin on Friday, September 15th for 4th - 12th grade students and Saturday, September 16th for 1st - 3rd grade students.

Limited Space is available with priority being given to applicants who have successful participation in any of the previous 8 years of aSTEAM Village annual programming or who attended summer camp in June and July of 2023.

For participants that participated in the 2022 - 2023 Annual Program Year and the NSBE 49th Annual Convention, ALL account balances for programming, registration and the annual $500 fundraising commitments must have a zero balance to rejoin the program. Either you met the financial commitments or you must meet those financial commitment prior to applying for entry into the 2023 - 2024 program.

In order to participate on the FTC and Ten80 Radio Controlled Racing teams, your student must be in high school or middle school or they must have successfully completed and competed at least one year of FLL Robotics as well as competed in a sanctioned FIRST Robotics competition.

Applicants will be accepted based on the qualifying criteria and their behavioral performance at school, home and if applicable, their 2022-2023 aSTEAM Village Summer Camp and participation in any or all of the previous 9 years of the Robotics and Racing program.

Acceptance into the aSTEAM Village program is on a first come, first serve basis and there is a mandatory parent/student interview prior to being accepted into any of the aSV sanctioned programs.

If your child is not accepted into the aSV program, we will recommend a program that your child can attend as it is our goal to make sure that every child has the opportunity to participate in a STEM/STEaM education after-school program.

Practice times may vary, and consistent attendance is mandatory for participation.

Students may be required to travel for competitions and exhibits.

This year's robotics, Ten80 race car engineering, Try-Math-A-Lon competitions are being held in Kansas City, MO. during the National Society of Black Engineers 50th Annual Convention in Atlanta, GA, March 25 - 29, 2024.

Travel usually requires overnight stays and release from school day.

If your child is required to miss a school day for competition, we have a form to be given to the school requesting an excused absence for an education event.
