We are excited to announce Kick It For a Cause: A Kickball Tournament benefitting Woodlawn Community Table! Gather friends, family, and co-workers together to form a team! (Minimum 11 players) You won't want to miss this fun day to support our friends and neighbors in the Woodlawn area having access to fresh, healthy foods on a regular basis.
Each game will be single elimination, meaning if your team wins, you advance and if your team loses, you're out. Last team standing wins the tournament! All players must be over 14 years old (anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult) and sign a waiver. (See below links for waiver.)
Rain Plan: We have a rain date scheduled for the following Sunday, October 22. If severe weather is present, we have the right to cancel and reschedule the tournament. Follow us on social media and keep an eye on your inbox closer to game day in case of inclement weather.
Parking: That day a portion of 54th Street North will be blocked off to ensure we have plenty of space! In terms of parking, free street parking is available along 1st Ave North, in a public lot on 55th Place, behind Woodrow Hall, and a few spaces at Willow Wood Recreation Center. (See image below for more information.)

Woodlawn Community Table builds community through food, by collaborating with neighbors to create equitable food solutions.
Food is a powerful tool for building community and creating a more just world. WCT organizes small groups into cooperatives for work and fellowship, where neighbors order, sort and distribute food amongst themselves. This supplemental distribution of food eases household budgets for other necessities. We do this because we believe that everyone deserves access to healthy food regardless of income or circumstance.
