About Smashing The Glass Ceiling

At OPEN, we are honored and proud to have served LGBTQIA2S+ individuals in Dane County for over 15 years. Listening to our community's needs, we identified the demand for workplace support services for all LGBTQ+ workers in the area. Our mission is to provide career development resources to the LGBTQ+ community, empowering individuals with low or no-cost opportunities for career growth and networking throughout the year.

Through the pillars of Belonging, Equity, and Service, we aim to:

  • Create Accessible Opportunities: Provide diverse professional development events featuring renowned speakers and leaders.
  • Amplify Partner Messages: Support equity in our community and workplaces, advocating for increased representation, better workplace policies, and growing LGBTQIA2S+ leadership.
  • Expand Networks: Partner with college campus centers, student orgs, community partners, and LGBTQIA2S+ Employee Resource Groups to enhance career networks and workplace equity education.
