About 2024 Armando Borjas Jr Annual Golf Tournament
Purpose of This Event:
Armando Spent 14 years fighting fires and saving lives with the AFD and 7 years active duty in the United States Marine Corps. In 2011, Armando was diagnosed with state IV esophageal cancer, which he battled until his death in 2013 at age 39.
In an effort to keep Armando's memory alive, this annual tournament proceeds will benefit a memorial scholarship fund in this name. The funds will help send local youth to Fire and EMT schools and carry on Armando's legacy of public service.
