Today’s student, even at the elementary level, relies heavily on technology at school and at home for their educational learning. Still’s Elementary campus could use some help with acquiring the requisite amount of technology and engineering resources to help support their learning environment.
So together, through the 501(c)(3) foundation established to supplement and support Still Elementary’s students, our local and corporate community can further help prepare them for their future educational journey and ultimately the workforce demands that await them. We can do this by helping outfit their classrooms with appropriate technology exposure to more science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) instruction. While Cobb County and our school administration have taken necessary steps to create a STEM lab and hire an instructor to focus on the curriculum, our school campus is in need of additional resources such as an expanded parking area, improved visibility with landscaping maintenance, a crossing guard, general stipends for Specials Programs (Music, STEM, Art, PE, and Counselors), as well as additional software licenses geared towards advancing reading and math skills, an Ipad charging cart, and various other technology and engineering resources.
We are creating an advanced learning campaign called TECH4STILL where we are aiming to raise $25,000 by 12/31/19 and $75,000 by 3/31/20. We have fun, student-focused efforts planned throughout the year and we will work with our parents, staff and corporate community to raise the remainder of the funds necessary to bring more technology and learning opportunities to Still.
This will only be accomplished with your assistance! Together, we can and will Soar to Success.
We look forward to locking arms with all of you in this effort and charging ahead for educational success that we can achieve together for Still Elementary and all of our Still Eagles.
Thank you for your support.
