The VisionImagine Santa Cruz County transformed by a clean, integrated transportation network: From Watsonville to Davenport, a 32-mile paved pedestrian and bike trail runs the full length of the county. Parallel to the trail, a clean, quiet, modern rail service carries passengers back and forth between Watsonville and Santa Cruz. At each station, people easily roll bikes, strollers, walkers and wheelchairs on and off to access buses, bikes, cars, trails, and other first- and last-mile options.
Friends of the Rail & Trail PurposeSanta Cruz County Friends of the Rail & Trail advocates for transforming the 32-mile Coastal Rail Corridor into the backbone of a modern transportation system that increases choice, reduces environmental impact and supports a vibrant economy. Your support is critical to ensuring that we have the tools we need to realize this vision by educating the public and communicating with local transportation and planning agencies.
