As a proud Marine and highly decorated combat veteran, George "Sully" Sullivan played an important role in the formation of locally founded nonprofit organization, Warrior Reunion Foundation. In honor of his heroic service to our country and his commitment to mentoring our current generation of veterans, his family requests donations to be made to support the mission of the Warrior Reunion Foundation.
About WRF: Warrior
Reunion Foundation supports combat veterans in overcoming the challenges of
post-military transition by reconnecting those who served together overseas. We
challenge stigma through shared experience, rebuilding essential peer support
networks that enable our veterans to live with meaning, purpose and positive
impact in their communities.
At the close of our third reunion season we have reunited over 650 combat veterans and Gold Star family members across 14 reunions, provided at no cost to each unit we’ve served. Our 2020 reunion season will include 12 reunions serving up
to 1000 combat veterans - your donation will provide direct support to the accomplishment of this mission!
Sully was the guest of honor at two reunions for Marine combat veterans held in Southold over the course of the past several years, and the time he spent with those warriors was a clear demonstration the unique bond shared by Marines, especially those who have served in combat overseas. We are grateful for his example of selfless service, and will ensure his memory lives on by continuing to share his story. Thank you and Semper Fidelis!
