In this workshop, Chris Coniaris will introduce yoga breathing techniques and meditation which will exhibit how breathing influences everything we experience: all aspects of our health, our mental state, emotions, and more. Yoga breathing techniques can prepare us to experience calm, still, awareness in meditation. We will learn how to energize, calm and balance our systems with our breath. Several techniques will be taught in detail. The course is designed to help you establish a home practice. Each class will begin with 30-45 minutes of breathing in specific patterns followed by a 30 minute meditation. No previous experience necessary. The workshop may include a few breath suspensions and you are encouraged to check with your health care professional if appropriate.
