Culpeper Liveable Aging Communities (CLAC) is seeking volunteer participants over the age of 50 from the Culpeper area to sit on our commitee. CLAC was organized in conjunction with partners as a task force dedicated specifically to help aging citizens remain in place within their current communities. CLAC consists of volunteers from different sectors (residents, first responders, healthcare professionals, faith-based leaders, local government leaders, etc.,) who meet regularly to foster and hopefully implement a future liveable community model in Culpeper where older adults can stay at home as long as possible while having all the necessary amenities in reach. Those include among others: transporation, medical access, nearby grocery stores, programs for socialization, sidewalks for safe walking, etc. . We need older adults and their ideas and experiences to make this happen! Your input is necessary and welcome. Please join our January meeting if you'd like to participate in the coalition or if you would just like to hear more about it.
