The Metro East Literacy Project (MELP) is raising money to help build avid, lifelong readers in the St. Louis Metropolitan area. In some sections of our population, there is a serious reading crisis, and MELP is looking to raise awareness and create opportunities to help improve reading skills within the community.
Please consider listing your book titles on the virtual Metro East Literacy Project Bookshelf. Make a donation of $5 minimum, plus $2 for the cover image, of a favorite book such as “Where the Wild Things Are,” “Catcher in the Rye,” “The Warmth of Other Suns," or some other favorite or inspirational book. And, if you are an author, you should list your own book! If you don't have a book title to list, that's okay. We will be overjoyed to receive a general donation. Watch the video to see how easy it is to donate a book title.
Let’s fill up the virtual Metro East Literacy Project Bookshelf with your book titles. Show how much you enjoy reading by listing your favorite books with your generous donation! Multiple opportunities to donate will be available throughout the year to celebrate various reading days.
