James and the Giant Peach - Camp Registration
Does your student love to be in the spotlight? Come be a part of one of our 2-week intensive musical theatre camps. Our camps are open to all levels of experience and interests. Performers are immersed in an intense, fun endeavor to build an entire show using teamwork while expanding their skills. Students build confidence, gain experience, make friends and have a lot of fun. At camp’s end, students will perform in a full production (costumes, makeup, set, lighting) for family and friends. Performers will be challenged to master complex music, choreography and follow professional direction. All CAPA camps are held at Indian Hill High School and this camp is open to students in Grades 6-8.
Based on one of Roald Dahl’s most poignantly quirky stories, James and the Giant Peach JR. is a brand new take on this "masterpeach" of a tale. Featuring a wickedly tuneful score by Pasek & Paul, best known for their work on Dear Evan Hansen, La La Land, and The Greatest Showman, and a witty and charming book, this adventurous musical about courage and self-discovery is destined to be a classic. When James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree, he discovers a magic potion that grows a tremendous peach, rolls into the ocean and launches a journey of enormous proportions. James befriends a collection of singing insects that ride the giant piece of fruit across the ocean, facing hunger, sharks and plenty of disagreements along the way.
NOTE: We are currently reserving spots for camp at limited capacity, 30 students per production. By registering you are reserving your spot for camp, NO PAYMENT IS NECESSARY AT THIS POINT! Payment will be collected as we get closer to May and know more about any restrictions that may be in place due to Covid. Currently camp tuition is set at $395 for the two week camp. We are hopeful as we move into spring we can open up more spots and adjust the cost.
