COURSE DESCRIPTION

In this immersive course, the participant will learn how to develop an implicit bias scenario for implementation in a healthcare simulation.  California Simulation Alliance faculty will discuss the background and essential elements of scenario development, Standards of Best Practice scenario design criteria, and the utilization of a standardize scenario template such as CSA's scenario template.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

~Identify and discuss steps of the scenario development process according to the INACSL SOBP
~ Define the concept of fidelity and how to incorporate into effective scenario development
~Develop learning outcomes that address unconscious implicit bias
~Utilize storyboard to sketch the essential elements of a simulation scenario
