MSU Crew Resilience
None of us were expecting to have our competition season suspended this year. It comes as a low blow for us especially, as we are just starting to rebuild our team. The losses each of our rowers has faced due to this pandemic are staggering, and our hearts mourn for our senior, Carson Schoen, who lost his final spring season with us. We stand with other teams, high school, college, and masters, who are in the same straits as we are. We know, however, that crew builds resilience.
Our team has faced adversity before, and we have prevailed each time. Our team can, and will, bounce back. So will other teams across the state, nation, and world. We can't do it alone though. We lost our source of income this spring when our season was cancelled; we didn't collect dues. We will desperately need to fundraise to prevent increased financial burden on our rowers. We are asking for your support so that we can build a better future for our team, so that we can keep coming back to the river every day and give our everything to our craft.
We appreciate all of your support through the years, now, and into the future.
