One in every five children in the U.S. has a diagnosable mental health condition that requires treatment. In our service area, there are children and adolescent children suffering from a diagnosable mental/behavioral health disorder who are unable to receive the help they desperately need, simply because their families are unable to afford private treatment. And, according to a recent study published in JAMA Network Open, the rate of depression has tripled in adults - in all demographic groups - since the onset of COVID-19. Without your support, mental health may be the next major crisis we face as a community.
