Coding With Friends
Welcome to Coding With Friends!
We live in a world surrounded by technology. And we know that whatever field our children choose to go into as adults, their ability to succeed will increasingly depend on understanding how technology works.
But only a tiny fraction of us are learning how technology works.
That’s why the National Black Home Educators (NBHE) and the Academy of Digital Visionaries and Scholars (ADVScholars) kicked off our coding sessions by partnering together to join in on the largest learning event in history: The Hour of Code, during Computer Science Education Week (December 7-13, 2020). Because of the success of our event, we will continue to offer these events monthly under the name Coding With Friends.
Coding With Friends is an initiative to teach foundational 21st-century technology skills to parents who teach their children home. 87To continue bringing programming activities to your children, we want to make our Hour of Code event huge. I encourage you to sign up today to participate with us. We want as many children as possible to participate in our events, so please invite others by sharing the news on your social media channels.
NBHE will keep you updated via our website www.nbhe.net and social media channels. Your child will learn the aspects of computational thinking and get hands-on experience with basic coding concepts.
This will be a fun event!!!
If you have questions please contact us at [email protected] - Can't wait to see you!
You must register for each event in order to reserve your seat (space is limited). Also, by submitting your registration and joining the event you are consenting to be recorded, and for these recordings to be shared on our websites, social media pages and other outlets to promote homeschooling and parental involvement in education. We will always use our media to put parents and our homeschoolers in the best possible light.
