SYNAPSE SCHOOL PREPARES EXCEPTIONAL LEARNERS TO CREATE LIFELONG SUCCESS. An independent elementary and middle school in Menlo Park, CA, Synapse offers an advanced academic curriculum fully integrated with social emotional learning. The program is carefully designed as a model school to demonstrate the power of blending Six Seconds’ emotional intelligence programs with leading-edge instruction (brain-based, project driven, constructivist learning in school-wide themes) The Annual Fund enables Synapse to reach its operating goals for the current school year.
The annual fund is the reason we see such positive growth in the Synapse program each year. We’re able to continue valued programs and add new ones.
Some examples include:
Expanded Financial Aid
Computer Science Specialist and Curriculum
These are just a few of the things we can accomplish when families support the Annual Fund.
Our goal this year is $495,000 which equates to $2.250 per child. We ask that each family consider their circumstances and contribute a meaningful amount and give to their capacity. All gifts are important to the success of the campaign and the school.
We cannot understate the importance of 100% participation. When organizations consider Synapse for pilot programs, grants and accreditation, the percentage of families participating in the annual fund serves as a proxy for satisfaction and support. It signals that our community values and believes in the education our children are receiving. Last year, our community achieved our participation goal of 100%. That is rare even among independent schools. For that, we should be very proud.
