
The Purple Lily Awards
Purple Lily Awards honors leaders who helped create a safer, healthier, more inclusive space for the Latinx LGBTQ community. Honorees in 2019 included: Los Angeles City Council Member Nury Martinez, community activists Elena I. Popp and Ridge Gonzalez, community advocate Javier C. Angulo, and the cast of STARZ Network’s critically acclaimed series, “Vida.”
In 2020, LEA presented the award to LAC+USC Medical Center for their heroism during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Honorees in 2021 include: The Los Angeles Dodgers, Niña Dioz, Bienestar Human Services, and Mayor Robert Garcia, City of Long Beach. This year's event will be held virtually and will include the awards ceremony, entertainment, and a raffle of amazing prizes for participants.
