No problem! This kit has tons of the great space swag and craft projects everyone has been raving about this past year!
Space Inspires! Higher Orbits seeks to be the platform that plants the seeds of discovery that ultimately grow a student into a young adult that sees science and science-related fields as an achievable future career. Higher Orbits makes space exploration accessible to secondary school students through its Go For Launch! and Space at Home programs. Through Space at Home, Higher Orbits brings space discovery and intrigue straight to the homes of students all across the country!
Space Inspires more than just students. Space Inspires everyone!
We want to bring that inspiration to YOUR home!
Kits will only be available for purchase until June 4th. Activities with the Summer of Space Kit will begin June 16th and run through Mid-September. The Swag Grab Bags will arrive in July and August. For those who are unable to attend the live webinars, a recording link will be sent to all who are participants in the Higher Orbits Space at Home - Summer of Space Kit.
PURCHASE & DONATION DETAILS
We know that times are challenging for many and this is why we have an option where you can support us sending a Higher Orbits Summer of Space Kit to a student in need. You may also donate within this "campaign" and we will use those donations to support making sure students have access to these kits. Kits currently cost more than we are charging to produce and ship and we are working to underwrite as much of this expense as possible to support our students. We are also working with schools and organizations to be sure that these are allocated to students across the United States who otherwise would not be able to participate. Please consider an additional donation with your purchase, or donate a kit!
If you are someone who would like a Space at Home kit but need financial assistance to be able to make this possible, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We love fun mail - anything that comes in the mail that isn't a bill or junk mail, is fun! We want to send you space-inspired fun mail with this Higher Orbits Space At Home - Summer of Space Kit.
More than just fun mail, this kit is an educational package of STEM and STEAM activities that fire the imagination and propel students thinking to higher orbits, and encourage minds to dream bigger.
A personal note from Michelle Lucas, founder of Higher Orbits --
"Space has inspired me my entire life. I grew up in an area where no one was talking about space or dreaming that big yet. Thanks to a spark ignited in me from watching a space shuttle launch on TV, I decided to reach for the stars. My path took me to a career at NASA's Johnson Space Center where I worked in Mission Control and as a technical instructor for astronauts. It was never lost on me that I was following my dream because space inspired me...that's why I started Higher Orbits. I would have given anything as a kid to have space stuff show up in my mailbox. During the pandemic we've been sending space swag and fun mail to our previous Go For Launch! students through our Space at Home kits and I want to share that space inspiration with students across the country. I hope you'll help us inspire the next generation of STEMists and Explorers!
