Cool Gear for the School Year 2021
Our world has changed. Our mission has not.

Cool Gear’s purpose is to help build each child’s self-esteem and eliminate an unnecessary distraction, allowing children to focus on their studies, and not their attire while at school. And while so many of our youth will begin another remote learning experience this fall due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the need for new clothes not only continues exist, but it may be greater than it ever has been.
As a result, we are preparing to host the 17th annual Cool Gear for the School Year program…with a twist.
Each child will still be allotted $300, however rather than an in-person shopping event with a local celebrity, our friends at Old Navy will provide virtual personal shoppers helping our young people to see and select their desired items while also working with them on budgeting and money management.
All children, along with their families, will obtain their clothing during a celebratory pick-up day at which they will be able to remain in their vehicles as they are showered with cheers from Jason Taylor Foundation and Old Navy associates.
Since launching the “Cool Gear for the School Year” program in 2005, the Jason Taylor Foundation has provided nearly $280,000 in clothing to more than 900 deserving young people!
The Jason Taylor Foundation is currently on a campaign to raise $18,000 in an effort to provide this unique experience to 60 of South Florida’s most needy and deserving kids. We greatly appreciate your consideration in supporting this effort.
