300-Miles Of Love
Join this journey of love From July 10th – July 18th
Joe Ippolito (our Treasurer) and I will be taking a 300-mile “walk” next month. 300-Miles of Love, to be exact, from Massachusetts to Jackson, to raise awareness of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
Kids with Duchenne are in wheelchairs by their early teens. Breathing through ventilators by their late teens. It is a terminal children’s disease with no cure.
We’ll be walking 38 miles a day and camping out each night. On the night of Saturday, July 17th, we’ll be camping out at All American Subaru in Old Bridge, New Jersey. The next day, Sunday, July 18th, we will walk the last 37 miles to the finish at the best Day Camp in Monmouth County, Frogbridge Day Camp in Jackson, New Jersey.
And we would love for you to join us! Please feel free to join us anywhere along the route, and to leave anywhere (although you are invited to the Finish Line for the ceremonies!) We’ll wind through Massachusetts to New Jersey. Our goal is to raise $100,000+ toward a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy…so that no parent will ever again have to hear the news that Karen and I heard seven years ago.
