Support Kids Together Playground, Where All Children Can Play
Kids Together Playground is specially designed to provide inclusive play opportunities for all children, regardless of their physical or mental abilities, and Kids Together is the all-volunteer, grassroots nonprofit organization that supports Kids Together Playground. We promote use of the playground, present special activities and events at the playground, and develop and fund projects to improve and enhance the Kids Together Playground experience for everyone.
We love to bring kids together to enjoy free activities, open to everyone, at Kids Together Playground. Our annual Birthday Celebration for the Playground includes a crafting activity; a visit from KATAL, our dragon mascot; a special story; and refreshments, including make-it-yourself Roly Poly Fruit Slushies. Other annual activities take place in February, when we Count the Birds at KTP, and November, when we take a leisurely Fall Foliage Stroll through the playground, collecting natural materials and marveling at nature's changes.
With your help as a member, we can continue to host these activities and add more, like Storytime with Willa, music sing-alongs, or a Bubbles Day - wouldn't that be fun!
Kids Together Playground at Marla Dorrel Park is part of the Cary parks system, owned and maintained by the Town of Cary. With a growing number of parks (30+ and counting!), we can't expect the town to present programs specifically for KTP, so that's where Kids Together steps in. And that's where we hope you'll step in, too, helping us keep the spirit of inclusive play alive!
