BARK Board of Director Application
Application, questionnaire, and resume must be submitted by midnight, May 23rd, 2021 to BARK Nomination Committee via email: firstname.lastname@example.org. Signed and dated.
Selected nominees will be voted by the membership at the Annual meeting being called on June 1st, Clifton Civic Center, 6:30 pm.
Note: All applicants must meet the nomination committee requirements to be considered a candidate. More than one person running for the same position can be named on the ballet for voting of the membership. If only one person applies, that person will be named, if the qualifications are met.
President: Key leader and face of the BARK organization both to membership and the community. Responsible for BARK operations, long-term goals, short-term goals, and budgets. Reports to Board. Responsible for donations and allocation of BARK resources. Appoints Committee Chairs. Creates or dissolves committees as necessary. Ex officio member of all committees except Nomination Committee. BARK fundraising/Social media skills/Computer skills. Current BARK member.
Vice President: Supports the Board agenda and BARK by laws. Sole responsible for BARK fundraising. Able to assume President duties as required. Enforce BARK policies. Social media skills/ fundraising/Computer skills. Current BARK member.
Secretary: Records meeting minutes. Computer skills and knowledgeable of programs to keep organized and relevant. Archives minutes. Files all compliant information needed to keep 501 c3 status. Communicates information from BARK to membership, Board, committees, vendors, BARK contacts, and donors as necessary. Serves as an acting agent to the organization and authority to sign BARK documents and manage accounts. Current BARK member.
Treasurer: Oversees BARK's day-to-day costs and payment of bills. Computer skills with knowledge of financial programs. Send thank-you notes and oversee relationships with donors. Responsibility for BARK liquidity and financial activities including payroll. Sets budgets. Reports to the board, information to CPA to file taxes. Maintains budgets. Current BARK member.
At Large Board Member: Genuine care about BARK’s success and longevity. Creative problem solver and not afraid to challenge leadership or question decisions, policies, ideas. Strategic thinker, diverse, not necessarily a BARK volunteer. Team building experience and values the foundation of donors and supporters of BARK. Current BARK member.
Parliamentarian: Must be well versed in parliamentary procedure. Debate experience helpful. Familiar with Roberts Rules of Order. Not a voting Board member. Current BARK member.
