The first audio-guided route and ride resources in the Raise It Up Series will kick-off July 1st. You can use the resources to ride whenever you like with or without a smartphone! The Bike Library will also host volunteer-led opportunities for group rides.
Each featured route checkpoint is a historically, culturally, or politically significant site where riders will be asked to stop and listen to audio guides that share stories of Black lives here and now!
The audio will blend community member interviews, checkpoint history and information, contextual narratives, and interactive questions for riders. Along the ride, riders will be asked to consider race, place, and space as it relates to mobility justice, housing equity, economic opportunity, and beyond.
Our goal is to advocate for change that you can make in tangible ways.
Starting July 1st all Route #1 ride resources will go live. Resources for Raise It Up Rides #2 and #3 will premiere later this summer. The fourth and final route will be similar to the first three with the option to continue on a longer section outside of town.
