The Latinx/Chicanx for Community Medicine (LCCM) Alumni Senior Scholarship was designed to provide a LCCM member with a monetary award for their accomplishments as a student and a LCCM member. LCCM alumni have collaborated to provide a monetary contribution to a graduating senior or recent graduate who will be applying to medical school or PA programs in the future. The award is based on academic, responses to essay questions, and community service experience. No one area is emphasized more than the other and all are equally weighted.

General Criteria:

Scholastic excellence; demonstrate leadership in extra-curricular activities; outstanding volunteer service to the community; exceptional service to UCLA; financial need

**For transfer students, community work and/or leadership experience from their previous schools will be considered.

.* 2022 LCCM Senior Scholarship will be renamed Award this year due to financial and timeline. The application will only include demographics and an essay submission.

In previous Scholarship years the criteria included:

Scholastic excellence, demonstrate leadership in extra-curricular activities, outstanding volunteer service to the community, exceptional service to UCLA, financial need were taken into account.

For transfer students, community work and/or leadership experience from their previous schools will be considered.

Eligibility:

1. UCLA graduating senior or recent graduate (must have graduated after September 2021)

2. LCCM member or LCCM alumni

3. Must plan to obtain an M.D. D.O. or PA degree

4. Submit a 500 word essay (Deadline 5/22/22 by 5:00 PM PST)
