Music for Medicine
Dear Friends,
We've found a new way to bring music to medicine - and your support can help bring it right to hospital patients.
Hospitals are stressful places for patients (and the medical staff as well). Doctors now know that a significant part of that stress is caused by the noise of beeping medical machinery around a patient's bedside.
Listen for Life is a 501c3 nonprofit foundation that creates musical programs for social benefit. At the request of several neurologists, some world-class artists are now producing music specifically for hospital use. And we’ve found a tiny MP3 player that nurses can put right on a patient's pillow, so this music can replace all that chaotic beeping noise with soft, peaceful music.
Here's a short video about what we do: https://youtu.be/Eeux2p9twjw (and a clip of the music itself)
In early hospital trials, nurses have already told us they can see real change in their patients. Their breathing calms down. They’re more peaceful. And less stressed.
Many hospitals have already expressed interest in partnering with us, and some are already doing so. We can provide this neurologically-proven music in three delivery formats; CDs, pre-loaded MP3 players, and digital MP3 tracks directly to the media technology teams of hospitals for their internal audio systems.
This music is soul medicine - a free gift from artists the patient will never know, who just want them to be well.
Will you partner with our musicians and help us to share this healing resource with those who need it?
You’ll see regular monthly updates on this website about the results.
Many thanks in advance for your support.
