Volunteer Opportunities
We are looking for volunteers and interns to join our team and help grow all aspects of our organization including: fundraising, communications, event management, donor outreach, grant writing, and working directly with our students in our gardens.
Learning 4 Life Farm is a newly established nonprofit creating a 7-acre farm in Johnstown, Ohio to provide transition job training for young adults on the autism spectrum in partnership with our parent organization, The Learning Spectrum. Hand-in-hand with our students, we are working to develop an animal-assisted alpaca therapy program for children and adults on the autism spectrum - one of only a few in the world specifically tailored to autism. Program participants will care for the alpacas; cultivate organic gardens for food, pollinator habitat, and as therapeutic space for students and the community; sell produce and products at the on-site gift shop; and learn transition life skills while working towards employment in the community through our job placement program.
We have various volunteer opportunities and internships, including monthly Saturday Gardening Workdays, long-term internships, or we can set up a time for you to come volunteer with our students. We now require all volunteers over age 18 to have a background check on file. Click on the campaigns below to sign up, or email [email protected] for more information
