Joaquin Alena - Open Heart Medical Mission
Help me Train and Educate
Hello Friends & Family,
I came to this country when I was 14. I come from the country side of Cuba where there are minimal resources. Trying to get treatment for any medical needs was extremely hard. I always have had a strong passion to go back and do a medical mission but due to the political matters is near impossible to accomplish. I done Christian missions taking other kinds of help but nothing medical. It is a dream come true to be part of this surgical medical mission trip and like 1 Peter 4:10 says "Each of you should use whatever give you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms."
Please consider supporting my efforts to help install a sustainable open-heart medical program in Nigeria that is lacking in the country. This is a huge problem for the 100M citizens in Nigeira living at the poverty level and cannot afford to travel out of the country for care. I will be attending the mission September 10-18, and truly look forward to working one on one with the local staff and transferring my skills as a surgical assistant.
I have included a video below about VOOM Foundation for your reference.
Thanks you in advance for your consideration!
