Foodie Throwdown Tribute Week
Celebration of Food - Music - Tradition @ the Hormel Historic Home
Spend a week celebrating the past 10 years of Foodie Thowdown events in support of the Hormel Historic Home.
Since 2012 the Foodie Throwdown has been bringing people together to showcase the culinary talents of our region's most enthusiastic 'Foodies'.
George Hormel said of this home when he donated it to the Y.W.C.A. in 1927, "my wife and I decided that it should continue in use as a place for social gatherings in the community.”
Please join us for our most elaborate social gathering of the year at the 10th Annual Foodie Throwdown. Your ticket purchase or donation allow us to continue our mission of preserving and sharing the historic property of George and Lillian Hormel.
As an added element to the event we will be collecting non-perishable food items throughout the week to support the Salvation Army.
Items such as Boxed/Bagged cereal, Crackers, Soup, Boxed Mac & Cheese, Pasta, Spaghetti Sauce – Not glass jars please, Rice, Canned Meats, Canned Fruits, Canned Vegetables, Canned Beans, and Peanut Butter would be greatly appreciated.
