Please contribute towards the initial phase of our fundraising effort as we begin to build functional shelter facilities for cats, dogs, and volunteers.

Through a generous bequest from the Ted and Shirley Birkeland estate, we were fortunate to find and purchase outright a nine acre property in Floyd County! Our shelter will be dedicated to the memory of their beloved dog, Louie-Pierre. In order to begin construction on the actual building our Phase 1 fundraising goal is $250,000.

The Floyd County Humane Society would like to thank Cabin Fever Charity Events, Inc (CFCE) for their fundraising efforts towards our new shelter construction fund. In 2019, CFCE began focusing their fundraising on the Floyd County Humane Society and have since raised $84,000 through their live music events in 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022! We are beyond grateful and look forward to the next event! Stay tuned!
