This summer, Scribble Art Workshop will be hosting two K-5 Summer Camp sessions in our “hometown” of Inwood (Upper Manhattan) at the Dyckman Farmhouse Museum. This part of Manhattan was once considered “the country” and includes this historic wooden farmhouse built c. 1784 with 2 expansive porches and luscious gardens: the perfect grounds for plenty of outdoor art-making.
Your donation today will go towards sponsoring two “scholarship campers” (one for each session) to attend camp for free! Help us raise our goal of $2600.With a 5:1 camper to teacher ratio, each camper’s registration is $1300 for a two-week session, Monday through Friday from 9am - 3pm, including materials kits which the campers get to keep.
What your donation supports:
Camp will include daily sketchbook challenges in the mornings followed by nature, “walks with a purpose” in Inwood Hill Park, and of course, tons of fun, focused and materials-based art-making throughout the day. All camp sessions include a materials kit that comes with a camp t-shirt (we’ll have different tees for each session). In addition to complex artwork, the artists will leave camp with a ton of high quality art tools to use for years to come.
